What’s Next?
I have a few options for what project I should start on next, but I haven’t committed to any of them yet. In the order that I’ve considered them:
A table/cabinet that will live behind my front door. I don’t think I’d learn much making this but I’d like to have it and it seems fun to build.
Another choice is to build another dining room chair, obviously improving on the previous one. This seems almost too easy, especially as I literally just made a stool.
An internet friend has reached out and asked for a similar guitar stool. I’d be happy to make another one, presumably with fewer mistakes, but I’m not committed yet.
My mom is interested in a smaller chest than the blanket chest I did. The actual work here has very little new/unique woodworking, but it will involve a couple major new factors: getting the piece shipped a couple thousand miles, and (more importantly I think) seeing how it reacts to changes in humidity throughout it’s journey.
