Bottom Bunk Bedside Table
When I first planned out the bunkbeds a key consideration was bedside storage. You need a place to put your book, your phone, your light, etc. I went through a few different iterations and finally landed on this simple, beautiful cantilever shelf:








I had originally planned to have a tusk tenon holding it into place but it’s surprisingly strong as is.
The next bedside table is much trickier, because it is not resting directly on a 2x4 like the one above is. Here is my work in progress on that:


I expect to have this one installed by the next post unless something alarming or surprising happens.
As an aside, I split the second shelf in half twice this weekend.




Also I started wearing a mask when I use my dovetail saw, to avoid sneezing. It’s great!



Great little table! Looks great and sturdy!
In my training I learned that fine dust is more damaging to your lungs and nose. Right from the first day using my dovetail saws I've found mask is necessary. But for coarse ripping saws I could get away without mask.
